Thaba Chweu Municipality is a local Municipality within the Ehlanzeni District Municipality, in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. The Municipality is situated in Mashishing, previously called Lydenburg, in the North-Western region of Mpumalanga. Thaba Chweu Local Municipality is renowned for its forestry, tourism, mining and agriculture. "The threads that are woven into the panoramic Towns of Mashishing, Sabie, Graskop and Pilgrim's Rest; are artefacts of a rich History and contribute to the cultural diversity and harmony that defines life in Thaba Chweu- Place of the White Mountain!"
