It is the highest point of Table Mountain, which is a 'Seven Wonder' of the world! Discover the vast natural beauty of the Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town, South Africa. This World Heritage Site was origanally caled; 'Hoerikwago', which means Mountain in the Sea, by the indigenous Khoisan people of the Cape. There are many different ways up this prestigous mountain, to get to discover this Beacon. This offering hikers a range of easy to challenging routes, depending on your fitness and experience! Visitors can choose to ascend to the top via Platteklip Gorge or take a leisurely stroll, through the green landscape below. If you’re not up for exercise, hop onto a revolving cable car that will take you straight to the top! The 1,086 meter summit offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the Cape Peninsula and the sprawling city below. The hike to Mac Lear's Beacon is relatively easy and takes about 35 minutes each way! The views are spectacular and highly reccomended if you want to move away from the tourists, at the top of the mountain!
