Mkuze, also named Mkhuze or uMkhuze is a small Town in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is located approximately 350 km from the City of Durban. It is along the N2 road on route to Johannesburg, Eswatini and Mozambique; between the Mkuze River and Intaba Yemikhovu (Ghost Mountain). Mkuze is some distance from other small Towns such as Hluhluwe (50 km), Nongoma (76 km), Pongola (65 km), and Jozini (25 km). Mkuze is the seat of Umkhanyakude District Municipality.

The Kaaimans River, also known as Keerom River, is a River in the Western Cape, South Africa. The mouth of the River lies near Wilderness. Further upriver, the Kaaimans River Gorge is an ideal place for hiking and whitewater kayaking. The nearest large Towns are Mossel Bay and George.
The Kaaimans River was formerly an obstacle for travellers, whose wagons had to wait sometimes for weeks before being able to cross it safely when it ran full of water. It was also nicknamed "Keeromrivier" (Turnabout River) because, faced with the raging waters, some travellers had to turn and try to find another way to reach their destination. Finally this obstacle was overcome when the Seven Passes Road was built by Thomas Charles John Bain.
The steam-train between George and Knysna, called the: ''Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe'' and used too cross this Bridge several times a day.
