The South African national soccer team Bafana Bafana registered a convincing 2-0 victory over the national team of neighbouring Botswana, two years after its readmission to international games. The game, which was attended by approximately 20 000 spectators, was played at Botswana national stadium in Gaborone. Bafana Bafana was guided by Augusto Palacios as its coach, while John Shoes Moshoue and Rudolph Seale scored goals apiece.
