Port Alfred
One of the many difficulties faced by the 1820 Settlers, was accessibility to the outside World. In 1821, the first ship entered the Kowie River and the Settlement of Port Alfred was born.
Lamu, Kenya
Lamu Island is a Port, City, an Island just off the shore of Kenya in the Indian Ocean approximately, 150 miles from Mombasa. Lamu Old Town is the oldest and best-preserved Swahili Settlement in East Africa, retaining its traditional functions.
Pule Mabe
Puleng Peter Mabe (Pule Mabe) was born on 19 March 1980 in Namakgale, Phalaborwa, Northern Transvaal (now known as Limpopo Province). He was raised by a single mother. Mabe went on to study for a BTech in Journalism at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), where he also served as the president of the SRC.
