Former Ugandan dictator, Idi Amin, passed away in Jidda, South Arabia, where he had lived in exile for many years. Amin died at the age of 78 as a result of multiple organ failure. His eight-year rule in Uganda had been characterised by torture and mass killings in which approximately 30 000 people had died.
