South Africans pay tribute to Nelson Mandela at the Grand Parade in Cape Town

On 6 December 2013, Capetonians paid tribute to Nelson Mandela a day after he had passed away.  The crowd gathered together at the Grand Parade in front of the City Hall in Cape Town, the place where Nelson Mandela delivered his first public speech follow his release from imprisonment in 1990. At this commemorative occasion South Africans sang and danced while some waved the South African flag in honour of the former president.  Flowers and Nelson Mandela quotes were placed in front of the City Hall to honour the memory   of the South African legend.
