This is a double-storey manor House designed by Architect P Piekes. Erected in 1904-05, it is an excellent example of the Natal Verandah House, popular at the beginning of the 20th Century which includes a finely detailed Verandah. It was declared a National Monument under old NMC Legislation on 27 July 1984.
