She was born in Johannesburg. She trained at Natal College of Art under Mary Stainbank and Karin Jonzen, London (1962-1965). She has held numerous solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions. She has undertaken various commissions for her bronze sculpture. She has served as President of the NSA in the 1970s. Her work is represented in public collections in SA and in private collections in SA and abroad.
