Doringbaai is a picturesque little Town on the Cape West Coast near Strandfontein and Langebaan, about 300 km West of Cape Town. You can get to Doringbaai next to the N7, after which you travel for a while along the Olifants River, past Towns with beautiful names like Papendorp.
 
The Bay was originally used as an anchorage on the Northbound Trade Route and the original Lighthouse at Doringbaai still serves as a Beacon for Tourists and Fishermen. The Local, Lobster Factory, which supports most of the Town's Population, creates a wonderful Photographic event, with the Jetty and Lighthouse.
Doringbaai offers many Visitors - Ocean Views, diverse Coastal Vegetation and Seabirds. In the Season there are plenty of flowers in the Area, and Heaviside Dolphins and South-Right Whales, can be seen along the Coast. A popular Hiking Trail exists along the deserted Beach between Doringbaai and Strandfontein and those who run an adrenaline rush can see the View from a Hanglider.
