In February 1977 a Cape Times report revealed that a detainee,Mr Robert L Barber,had died in detention in October 1976 in the police cells in Durban.No further information was disclosed.Because of the circumstances of Mr Barber's death and because the Act under which he was held was undisclosed,he has been included in this report.
