C. M Kobus was the African attorney and founding member of the Non-European Unity Movement (NEUM). Holder of a B.A. degree, he taught for some years in the Cape before qualifying as a lawyer in 1954. In the mid-1950s he served as national secretary of the All African Convention (AAC).
