Puleng Peter Mabe (Pule Mabe) was born on 19 March 1980 in Namakgale, Phalaborwa, Northern Transvaal (now known as Limpopo Province). He was raised by a single mother. Mabe went on to study for a BTech in Journalism at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), where he also served as the president of the SRC.
