UDF distances itself from Madikizela

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) heard from the leading members of the United Democratic Front (UDF), Frank Chikane and Azar Cachalia, about the organisation's suspicion of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's behaviour after the death of Stompie Seipei. The UDF was summoned by the TRC, as it was the leader in protest against apartheid at the time when these crimes were committed and it was also closely associated with Madikizela-Mandela. They also told the TRC that it was out of this concern that the UDF started distancing itself from her.
