Soweto’s chief of police, Nkanyiso Maphanga is arrested and charged with negligent and drunken driving

Soweto’s assistant chief of police, Nkanyiso Maphanga, was arrested and charged with two counts of reckless and/or negligent driving and one of drunken driving after being involved in two car accidents in Boskruin, on the West Rand.Maphanga was involved in a collision with another car at the intersection of Beyers Naude and CR Swart drives. Allegedly, he drove away from the scene only to drive straight into a wall in Kowie Street.
