Samora Machel decrees an end to private ownership

President Samora Machel of Mozambique issued a decree ending private property ownership, in accordance with the Marxist ideals of his government. He also renamed the country's capital city, previously known as Lourenco Marques, to Maputo, in honour of a 16th century chieftain.
