President Jacob Zuma arrives in Moscow to attend the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On 8 May 2015, South African President, Jacob Zuma, visited Russia.  On 9 May 2015, he joined a number of world leaders at the Russian capital, Moscow, for the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War 2. Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and President Zuma had successful bilateral discussions in Moscow. The two leaders discussed the status and implementation of the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) agreements and preparations for an ITEC conference to be held in Russia later in the year. In conclusion, the visit was meant to build the warm relation between South Africa and the Russian Federation with cooperation in political, economic, social, defence and security areas
