This Day in History: 4 June 1986
On 2 June 1986, the South African police services found the burnt body of a man near the KTC squatter camp in Nyanga East. A Police spokesman reported that he was not the first man to be found killed near the squatter camp. He mentioned that this incident could be related to what was happening in the Langa Township that same week, where delivery vehicles were looted.
There were many looting incidents in Langa Township that were linked to what happened in K.T.C. The police spokesman mentioned that this was the second body of someone who had been killed, to be found in the K.T.C squatter camp.
