Lalla Hirayama, the Japanese-born South African television personality is born

Lalla Hirayama was born in Hiratsuka, Japan on 10 February 1988. At the age of six, her family immigrated to South Africa. Lalla is a South African “It” girl.[i] She is a television presenter, model, dancer and actress.[ii] She is one of the hosts on the live celebrity news show V Entertainment, as well as on the Masters of Rhythm. Lalla hosted the Tropika Island of Treasure’s season 3 in Thailand.[iii] She was the red carpet reporter for the Channel O African Music Video Awards from season 8 and 9.[iv] Lalla was also a commentary booth presenter for the Miss South Africa pageant. Lalla was a judge on South Africa’s Got Talent,[v] and the host of her own television show Lalla Land.[vi] Lalla was also a celebrity dancer on the reality television show Strictly Come Dancing.[vii] She has also pursued an acting career, having taken on the role of “Felicia” on Rhythm City in its first season.[viii] End Notes [i] Kaplan, G.
