Four men die instantly in car races

Four men were killed instantly when a car swerved to avoid a second, which was spinning on the Odi race track, and ploughed into spectators watching from the sidelines. Three people were seriously injured and transferred to George Mukhari (formerly Ga-Rankuwa) hospital in Ga-Rankuwa township. The fifth victim died later in hospital while the other two remained in a critical condition. The incident took place in Kgabalatsane, near Mabopane, north of Pretoria.
