Fifty-five year old senior manager at Standard Bank Home Loans and second victim of the Planet Hollywood bomb blast, Brian Duddy, died at the City Park Hospital. Duddy, together with twenty staff members, was attending a farewell function for a colleague at the Waterfront restaurant when the bomb was detonated. Duddy spent several days on a life support machine, while his colleague, Fanie Schoeman, who had lost two legs, died at the Somersault Hospital on the same day he was admitted. Twenty-six other people were injured during the blast.
