Report of the Political Action Committee to the 62nd Annual Congress of the National Union of South African Students, University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, 2-7 Dec 1984. Discusses various aspects of the political role of the National Union. These include exposing the role of the apartheid government, to draw students into supporting the national democratic movement and helping to ensure the non-racial character of this movement.The report analyses the success of the Union in politicising, mobilising and organising in order to achieve its aims and suggests focus areas.
