30 May 1975
The Minister of Justice, James Thomas (Jimmy) Kruger, declared the Christian Institute to be an affected organisation under the Affected Organisation's Act of 1974. This Act served to weaken organisations opposed to the apartheid regime by preventing them from accessing funding from overseas. Institute members regarded Apartheid as unchristian and unbiblical, therefore, contrary to the Will of God.
