Description of event:
The District Six Museum, in partnership with the Steve Biko Foundation, is hosting a symposium entitled, "‘Memory in a time of freedom".
The 2 day event invites all those interested, including scholars, community activists, artists, historians and those who are merely interested to participate in its workshops and talks which aim to "explore the status and nature of memorialisation in our 21st year of ‘freedom’". Claremont Histories will also be presented along with 3 other community projects on Saturday 24th October after 3pm.

Claremont Histories will give a 10 minute presentation on Saturday 24th after 3pm.
