Devonshire Villa, 33 Carstens Street, Tamboerskloof, Cape Town

The dwelling is an excellent example of late Victorian architecture and was erected in 1893-94 by WN Cook, an affluent draper and silk merchant of Cape Town, who is also believed to have named the property. It was declared a National Monument under old NMC legislation on 15 March 1985.
