Thompson Dhlamini was Chief Vuna Miya’s erstwhile chief induna (headman). Banished along with Chief Miya, the two men were handcuffed together and “taken from Bergville, [Natal, now KwaZulu-Natal], where they had remained in the police cells for three days before they were put on a train for the Transvaal.”
Dhlamini was banished on 18 August 1954 to Frenchdale Trust Farm, near Mafeking, [Northern Cape, now North West Province]. Oneof his four partners joined him in Frenchdale.
