Piet Mabukela was banished on 28 July 1952 from Matlala's Location, Pietersburg District, Transvaal [now Polokwane, Limpopo Province]to Castle Rock, Mount Fletcher, Eastern Province [now Eastern Cape].
Mabukela died on 25 November 1954.
