Percy Fitzpatrick best known for his book, Jock of the Bushveld and other children's books. Fitzpatrick was one of the leaders of Johannesburg's Reform Committee which conspired to overthrow Paul Kruger's Transvaal republic government in 1895-1896, he got imprisoned and was released trust. Later served as a member of the Union Parliament.
