On President Brand Street Bloemfontein, is the Jubileum building. It was built in the late 1920s by boys from a local orphanage to provide a venue for reading and refreshments for young Afrikaners. A variety of entertainments were staged here, including concerts and art exhibitions, as well as political rallies!
