In this topic we study the impact that British colonisation of the Cape and Natal had on the people that were living there. We focus on the Khoikhoi, the Xhosa, the Basotho, the Zulus and the Boers. We explore changing labour patterns and slavery. We look at expanding frontiers and the Xhosas response to this. We take a brief look at the Boers moving out of the Cape i.e the Great Trek.
