Abraham Benjamin de Villiers is a South African cricketer of note. In 2011, he succeeded Graeme Smith and became captain of the South African One Day International (ODI) team. He is a right-handed batsman with a right arm medium batting style. With 278, de Villiers holds the second highest individual score by a South African in an innings. He is also regarded as one of the best fielders in international cricket. In 2012, he reached the top of the Test batting rankings and the following year, he reached the top of both Test and ODI rankings, making him only the ninth batsman in history to do so
