South African cricket player, Paul "Gogga" Adams, became South Africa's youngest Test Cricket player, when he featured in his first test debut at the age of 18 years and 340 days. Adams represented South Africa in One Day International (ODI) matches played from 26 to 30 December against England in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In later matches he suffered for a lack of variety and his career has been hampered by injury at crucial times. He lost his No. 1 slow-bowler spot to Nicky Boje, but no other left-arm spinner has taken more Test wickets for South Africa. Adams was discovered by Eddie Barlow, world-renowned South African cricketer of the 1960s.
