Neil Aggett dies in detention

Neil  Aggett, Transvaal organiser for the Food and Canning Workers Union and African Food and Canning Workers Union, allegedly commits suicide while in detention by hanging himself with a scarf. He is the first White person to die in detention since 1963. At the time of his untimely death, he was 28 years old.
