Mohammed Valli Moosa, born in Johannesburg on 9 February 1957, was a political activist and served as Minister of Environmental and Tourism Affairs in South Africa. He became actively involved in politics while studying at the University of Durban-Westville. He found himself on the wrong side of apartheid laws for participating in political activities. Before he became Environmental and Tourism Affairs Minister he held other top government positions.
