King Hassan II of Morocco dies

King Hassan II, who ruled Morocco for 38 years, died of heart failure at the age of 70 at the Avicenne hospital in Rabat. Hassan's death was announced by his son and successor Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed on national Television. Hassan had previously been hospitalised in the United States for lung problems.
