Clive Derby-Lewis dies

On 3 November 2016 Clive Derby -Lewis, the man who was convicted for the murder of former South African Communist party leader Chris Hani, died after suffering  from lung cancer. He died at the age of 80 at Eugene Marais Hospital in Pretoria after he was released on medical parole from Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre in June 2015, after having served 22 years in prison. . Derby-Lewis was convicted for his role in the assassination of Chris Hani in October 1993, having supplied the gun used by Janusz Walus to kill Chris Hani.
