Brett Kebble, SA millionaire and director of mining companies, linked to several cases of alleged fraud, is born

Roger Brett Kebble was born on 19 February 1964 in Springs, on the East Rand. In the 1990’s Kebble got into mining and was soon director of three mining companies. In 2005 Kebble came under investigation for alleged fraud involving R 2 billion worth of shares in one of his companies. Later that year, On 27 September, Kebble was shot seven times in his car on the way to dinner with his business associates. The death of Kebble opened a can of worms exposing corruption in big business and government in South Africa. Kebble was revealed to be involved with high profile and corrupt politicians. Three men were arrested for his “murder”.   They have since been freed after entering into a plea bargain with the government. In 2008, after three years of investigation, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) concluded that Kebble orchestrated his own murder.
