Allan Boesak marries Elna Botha

Dr Allan Aubrey Boesak, theologian and political activist wed journalist and television personality Elna Botha in the St. Stephens church in Cape Town. Prior to this Boesak had resigned as president of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches and as minister and moderator of the Uniting Reformed Church and had divorced his wife Dorothy, by whom he had four children. Boesak had resigned from the church before his extramarital affair could be investigated, but was reinstated in 2004.
