The African National Congress will submit its protection order application to afford its staff, members, its assets and the public at large protection against a threat posed by the DA march, in the morning at 06:00 at the South Gauteng High Court.

This is necessary in view of the failure of the DA to give guarantees of a peaceful march to Chief Albert Luthuli House tomorrow. The DA insists on bringing fully armed security company in its march to Luthuli House. This will include helmets, shields and batons. In the letter of our lawyers to the DA they were requested that nobody should carry arms and they failed to give that guarantee. It is evident that the DA has declared war on the ANC Head Quarters. The ANC leadership, through our courts, has decided to take it upon itself to protect its Head Quarters staff, assets and its buildings. We are confident that court will accede to our application.
