Mogwase, Bojanala Region

Mogwase lies near the Pilanesberg National Park. It falls under the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality juristriction and the seat of Bojanala Platinum, is Rustenburg. The majority of its 1,507,505 people speak Setswana. There is another Town called Mogwasi that does lie close to Sun City. Mogwase was established, after redemarcation of Municipal boundaries and subsequent Municipal elections in 2000. The Municipality has a predominantly Black African population, with fewer Indian, Coloured and White groups, mostly residing in Sun City residence. The Municipality covers an area of approximately 5 719km2, mostly rural in nature. Comprising 107 Villages and two formal Townships of Mogwase and Madikwe with estimated population of 242 553. Mogwase is close to Sun City and the Pilanesberg National Park, two of the major tourist attractions in the North West province. Owing to the growth of the Platinum Industry, Mogwase is a fast-developing town. "The hospitality in this small town is worth raving about.
