First Black Test cricket captain in SA is announced

Ashwell Prince was appointed as South Africa's first Black Test cricket captain to lead the Protea team in Sri Lanka. This announcement was made by Cricket South Africa (CSA) after Graeme Smith's withdrawal from the tour with an ankle injury. The first of two Tests between Sri Lanka and South Africa were to start on July 27, while India would be the third team in a one-day triangular tournament to end on August 29.
