Ramzi Yousef, alleged mastermind of World Trade centre bombing goes on trial

Ramzi Yousef, who is known by many aliases, was born in Kuwait and is of Pakistani descent. Yousef was later suspected to be one of the planners of the 1993 World Trade Centre bombing. He was later arrested by Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence and the U.S Diplomatic Security Service in 1995, and was extradited to the United States. On 5 August 1997, Yousef went on trial, and was sentence to life imprisonment without parole in January 1998.
