A prominent White South African Lawyer and African National Congress (ANC) member, Albie Sachs is seriously wounded by a car bomb in Maputo. The ANC and Mozambique Government blamed South Africa for the attack, which subsequently was covered in the Truth and Reconciliation hearings.
