Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi, stage name Kwesta was born in Katlehong, Gauteng on 11 February 1997.[i] Kwesta debut studio album was “Special ReKwest”, which was released in 2010 and includes hit singles such as “Stomp”; “Flash It”; “Pump It”; and “Flava”.[ii] The track “Stomp” was used in the soundtrack of the American action film Death Race 3: Inferno.[iii] Kwesta has also released two mixtapes, namely “Unkwestionable” in 2009, and “Rally 4 DaKar” in 2012. His sophomore album titled “DaKAR (Da King of African Rap)” was released in 2013[iv] and includes the hit single “Boom Shaka Laka”.[v] Kwesta’s third studio album was called “DaKAR II”, which was released in 2016, and included hit singles such as “Ngud” and “Nomayini”.
