A year after its establshment, South African Airways (SAA), took over South-West African Airways (SWAA), which had since 1932 been providing a weekly air-mail service between Windhoek and Kimberley. The weekly services were not affected by these new developments, but continued with F13's. Schedules were also compiled to link up with Johannesburg to Cape Town services at Kimberley.
