Schalk Burger wins two International Awards

The twenty-one year old South African rugby flanker, Schalk Burger, picked up two major international awards, the International Rugby Players' Association (IRPA) Player of the Year award and the International Newcomer honours from the International Rugby Union at a ceremony held in London. Burger became the first player to win both major categories in the International Rugby Players' Association event. In addition to these international awards, Burger also won the South African Player of the Year award the same year.
