The first Oscar nomination for a South African film Yesterday in the Best Foreign Language category, was announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president, Frank Pierson, and Oscar-winning actor and Academy member, Adrien Brody, in Los Angeles. Yesterday, the first feature-length film in the Zulu language, is about a woman living in the rural area who discovered that she was HIV positive.
