Kamalesh Sharma, Secretary General for Common Wealth made a speech during the 2010 Nelson Mandela Lecture held in London. His speech mainly focused on the “The Commonwealth and Africa”. Sharma described the relationship between Commonwealth and Africa as a vital component, interlocking the goal of democracy and development. Moreover he highlighted that democracy and development are the main sources of security and stability.
