Dr Chris Barnard divorces his second wife

The world known medical practioner, Dr Chris Barnad divorced his second wife Barbara Zoellner whom he had been married for twelve years. He got married to Barbara in 1970, a year after divorcing his first wife. In spite of Barnard publicly declaring his love for Barbara, the couple failed to reconcile. Barnard was accused of not giving adequate time to his marriage and family as he was always travelling around the world. The couple had two children, both boys.
