E.S. Reddy is born in a small village of Pallapalli in India to E.V. Narasa Reddy, a Gandhian who went to prison in the individual satyagraha in 1941, and Ramamma.
1943
E.S. Redy receives his B. A. from the University of Madras, India.
1946
March, E.S Reddy arrives in US.
Reddy leads an Indian student demonstration organized by the Council in front of the South African Consulate.

1948
Reddy obtains his M.A. from New York University.
1949
26 May, E.S Reddy joins the United Nations Secretariat as Political Affairs Officer in the Section for Africa and the Middle East.
1956
November, Reddy is political officer with the United Nations Emergency Force, stationed in Cairo from November 1956 to March 1957.
1963
He is appointed Secretary of the Special Committee against Apartheid.
1966
E.S. Reddy is Appointed Secretary, Committee of Trustees, United Nations Trust Fund for South Africa, established to assist political prisoners and their families.
1973
Reddy is appointed Director, United Nations Educational and Training Programme for Southern Africans.
1976
Reddy becomes the Director of the Centre against Apartheid.
1977
August, He organises the World Conference for Action against Apartheid, Lagos, Nigeria.
1981
May He organises the International Conference for Sanctions against South Africa, Paris.
1982
Reddy receives Joliot-Curie Medal from the World Peace Council.
1983
Reddy is appointed as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations in charge of the Centre.
1985
February Mr Reddy retires from the United Nations but continues to work against apartheid, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Defence and Aid Fund (IDAF) for Southern Africa and as a consultant to the Chairman of the Special Committee and to the Indian government.
1995
Mr Reddy receives honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Durban-Westville in 1995, in recognition of his contribution to struggle against apartheid and scholarly work on South Africa.
2000
March, Reddy is awarded Padma Sri (India’s national award) by the President of India.
2010
September, E.S. Reddy received the Gandhi Award for Reconciliation and Peace from the Gandhi Development Trust in Durban.
September, He receives the Sol Plaatje award from the Lenasia branch of the African National Congress (ANC).
2020
